In alignment with our vision, we have adopted a “Church of Small Groups” model where Discipleship Groups will make up the building blocks of the Zion Serangoon Gardens BP Church Congregation. In this model, everyone in the church can belong to or be involved in small groups. This model ensures that every member and friend of the church will be integrated, taken care of and be a disciple. It is not surprising to read of our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd, adopting the small group model in building up His disciples. He spent time with them, established strong relationships with them, equipped them, then sent them out!

A Discipleship Group within the church is a voluntary, intentional gathering of generally 3 to 15 people regularly meeting together with the shared goal of encouraging one another to grow in:

1. Knowing (the knowledge of God and His Will through His Word)
2. Becoming (be more and more like Christ, walking in a manner worthy of the Lord)
3. Bearing (bearing fruit in every good work and ministry).

Colossians 1:9-10:
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”     Read More
