Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is made up of the 66 canonical books of the Old and New Testament. It is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who know, love, and glorify one another. The three Persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are to be equally loved, honoured, and adored.

We believe that all mankind participated in Adam’s fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin, totally helpless and corrupt in every aspect of their being (e.g. physically, mentally, volitionally, emotionally, spiritually) apart from God’s own gracious intervention.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation. He is the only Saviour and mediator between God and men (Romans 4:25; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Timothy 2:5).

We believe that God’s Holy Spirit indwells His people and gives them the daily strength and wisdom they need to walk according to His will, to grow in holiness and to follow Him.

We believe that Jesus Christ has instituted and ordained two sacraments for the Church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24). Baptism is the sign of God’s covenant that marks one’s entry into the covenant people of God and is properly administered to children of believers in their infancy as well as to those who come as adults to trust in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is the sacrament whereby God’s children are spiritually nourished with the body and blood of Jesus Christ as they sojourn toward their true home.

We believe in the personal, visible, glorious, and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His holy angels at a time when He is not expected, when He will exercise his role as final Judge, and His kingdom will be consummated.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust—the unjust to judgment and eternal conscious punishment in hell, as our Lord himself taught, and the just to eternal blessedness in the presence of him who sits on the throne and of the Lamb, in the new heaven and the new earth, the home of righteousness.

We believe that Jesus Christ has established a visible church on earth, where Christ is the only Head. The Church is comprised of all who profess faith and their children, to whom He has given the keys of the kingdom (Matthew 18:15-20). Thus, the church is the household of God, the assembly of the living God, and the pillar and foundation of the truth.
