AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). It is an international organization dedicated to seeing children learn of God’s love for them.
AWANA here at Zion Serangoon BP Church seeks to provide an atmosphere that helps children grow spiritually, emotionally, cognitively and physically.
AWANA consists of three clubs to cater to children in various age groups:
For 5-6 year olds
For 7–9 year olds
For 10–12 year olds
Our clubbers meet on 8 Saturday afternoons, during school terms, from 3:00 p.m.- 4.45 p.m. at Zion Serangoon BP Church. Each time the children meet, they have fun playing exciting games, interacting with other children and teachers and learning Bible memory verses. Mid-term and end-term highlights are built into our programmes to keep children engaged and excited about attending club regularly and bring along a friend to share the fun.
At AWANA, we emphasize learning God’s Word by heart, one verse at a time, so that each child, no matter how young, will know the Lord Jesus and His eternal love for them and their families. The reward system within AWANA seeks to affirm children in their handbook achievements and encourage them to be disciplined and make steady progress in learning. Games time seeks to inculcate good sportsmanship, teamwork and good character.
We hope AWANA will be a blessing to your child and family. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Iris at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our AWANA clubs with your child (Advance notice is appreciated). Thank you!
